hiding something

Sometimes because of pride or ego or a mistaken idea, one person may not confide in another or tell them the whole truth. Have you ever been in a situation in which you didn’t want the other person to know something about you? You had something you wanted to keep secret? How did you act? Did the other person realize you were hiding something? How did your behavior change the way they acted toward you?
I used to hide secrets from my mom becasue i didnt know how she would react to them. I would tell her about 6 - 12 months after whatever it was happend. I felt like I couldnt spend time with her or else my secret would slip. I would just sit in my room and wonder how I could tell her this secret and get the smallest most calm reaction out of her. I finaly told her and she ended up being proud of me and took me out to lunch and we went shopping and she got me a ton of stuff!
Me and my mom are now like best friends and no secrets are held in between us anymore. We do everything together and have much more fun than when I didnt tell her my secret.

Describe your best or worst Halloween costume ever. Use lots of details and explain why it was so awesome or lame.
I think that my all time favorite costume was when I was 6. I really wanted to be Snow White. my mom, made me a Snow White dress, it looked exactly like the real dress! I was so excited to wear it that I would wear it every day that week when I came home from school. I really thought that I was snow white. When Halloween came around, we colored my hair black and put on bright red lipstick, I felt so cool to be wearing makeup!
The black ahir color wouldnt stick in my hair so we put so much in that my hair felt like horse hair. i had to soak it in the bath for sometime aobut an hour and my hair was still stained black. it was stained for about 2 days before it all finally came out.
this was my favorite halloween because at the time I thought that I was the coolest princess ever.

I havn't read any of the books on the list but I looked up "City of Ashes." It looks like its really interesting and kind of like Twilight series. The way the summary is makes me really want to read the book and find out more about it. I like mysterie / suspence books and City of Ashes seems to fit both of those.

It seems like reading Edgar Allen Poe stories around Halloween is a rite of passage for students in English classes. He wrote poems such as "The Raven" and "Annabel Lee" and stories like "The Tell-Tale Heart", "The Black Cat", "The Fall of the House of Usher", "The Cask of Amontillado", "The Masque of the Red Death", "The Pit and the Pendulum", etc.If you have read Poe stories before, which ones have you read and what do you remember of them? Did you like them? How scary/creepy were they? In my english class last year, we read "The Raven" and it wasnt even that scarry. I also have one of his books and I've read the storries in it and they didnt seem to be scarry at all. when we listend to it in english, we listend to it on tape with someone reading in a creepy voice. I'd expect them to be alot scarrier and fun but they seemed kind of borring to me.
I'm expecting us to be reading some that I havnt read before because I've o nly read a few of his storries and that was about 2 years ago. but then again I'm sure that they arnt that scarry because we are reading the storries in school.
I've never read scarry storries- like creepy gross scarry- but I have read books like Mary and Carol Higgins Clark books and other mystery / murder / reality creepy books.

If I were a pet I would wonder why the people can get food when ever and just about anywhere! Its true, people just go and open a cupbord or a fridge, pull something out and eat it! What they dont eat they set in a "box" and let it sit there. Sometimes they will leave me home and come back with more bags of food to set in the fridge. they just put all my food in a bucket and let it sit there, it only gets opend once a day, and sits in my same ol' bowl. I wonder, what does that stuff taste like? One day, just one day I'll find out.
What exactly is all that stuff? Why don't I ever get any of it? Don't they know I want to try some too? WHere do they get all that food from? How come I get the same meal every night? Does it all taste the same too? I wonder if I would get into trouble if I tried some of it? Will it hurt me?

Have you ever studied a skunk's eyes? Write about some item you find beauty in that many others might not.
I have not ever studied a skunks eye's but I have been sprayed and never want to get close to a skunk again, and deffinately not close enough to study its eyes.
I find beauty in music. I love to listen to every kind of music when most people just like one genre, or sound. When I listen to music, I'll listen to the words and try to figure out the storry that they are trying to tell. i also listen to the beats and the chords that are played and then try to figure them out on either my piano or guitar. most people that listen to music with me think its really annoying when I keep playing different styles of music (like going from rap to country.)
One reason that I find beauty in music is it can fit any mood that im in. For example: if im hyper i like to listen to hip hop or music with a heavy beat, if im mad ill listen to heavy metal. I find that music can also put me into a mood, if im sad, ill listen to up-beat happy music or pop to make me feel better, and it always works.
without music, There would be nothing beautiful, music can set a mood, make something funner or better, makes movies more intense or scarry, and can make me feel better.

Have you ever known a secret that you thought you should tell? Did you tell? If you've never experienced this, what do you think it would be like to know a secret that you think is dangerous?
On my dance team it happens all the time. with us all being best friends, someone will share a secret and they think its ok to share with someone else. Then the whole team knows about something that isnt always true.
What I've learned to do is never believe anything someone says about someone on the team that way nobody gets hurt and if it is a real secret then it stays a secret. If nobody finds out aobut it, then it wont be dangerous or hurt someone. If I knew a secret that is dangerous then I would have to talk to that person about it and figure out what is going on, Then If I had permission and the whole story, I would talk to the person most responsible (like our dance teacher.)
If I went about talking about it to whom ever I wanted then it would be a rumor, and start a bunch of drama. I can tell you that drama sucks and it all starts with someone sharing a secret with someone and they go and spread it. even though most the time its not a dangerous secret, it can be dangerous for the person who spreads it. The moral to my story is: never share a secret that you dont want to get twisted up to make it sound more interesting and spread around, and only tell people that you trust your secrets.

Well the party went well, I met Paris, but I dont feel that I love him. While we were dancing, I met a really nice boy named Romeo, he seems really nice, and I love him. I think that he loves me also.
Me and romeo really want to get married but we feel that we cant becuase of our our family history. Why do somebody elses problems have to rest on MY shoulders? I feel that if I tell my parents they might not love me or want to own me anymore. What if they have Romeo killed? Or what if he gets sent to prision or anything else. I just dont want him taken away from me.
Im so thankful for nurse because she helped me and Romeo get out and secretly get married! It was the happiest day ever! We are truly in love, even though we have only known eachother for a real short time, but I love him! I am so scared for what my parents and his parents will do if and when they find out that I snuck out, and got married. well I hope that this all turns out well when I finally decide to tell them.

9th grade:Do you believe in Fate? Are there certain things in life that, once set in motion, are inevitable; things that cannot be stopped once they are started? The story of Romeo and Juliet implies that the path of their love and what happens to them is part of Fate's plan. Do you think this is possible?
Idont really believe in fate but Ithink that things are just meant to be and life will make sure that it does. No matter how hard you try to avoid it, it will still happen one way or another. Ithink that true love cant be stopped once it is started, like in Romeo and Juliet, their "fate" is that they will fall in love and do what ever it takes to be together even if it means that they die.
I think that it is "fate" that Romeo shows up to crash the party, before he can do anything Romeo catches a glimps of Juliet, thinks she is beautiful, then he gets curious to meet her and all his plans to crash the party from before are lost and "fate" kicks in. Juliet happens to see him and is curious to meet him, so they meet and fall in love. Now nothing can seperate them and they cant be drawn away from eachother. it is fate that they met at this time because Juliet might have gotten married to Paris and never met Romeo.

If I were Juliet at this moment (in her life ) and i was writing in my journal i would be writing about:
"Today my mom asked me to come to her party and meet Paris. I told her that I will meet him and if I fall in love I will marry him but if I dont like him I really don't want to get married. I feel like I dont want to get married for about two more years or till the day that I find my true love.
tonight at mom's party, I hope to meet alot more new people and possibly future husband. I am really nervous to meet Paris, I will try to love him, but I dont want to be forced into anything that I don't want to do. I want to get married happily and be happy with who I marry. this party might all be a set up to get me to marry paris when I may not even love him in the end.

Define true love. Do you believe it exists?(Hint: have you ever seen it? give an example. Why do you believe/not believe in it?)
True love is, when someone loves someone else so much that they would do any thing for them, even give their life for them. I believe that true love does exist, it is just very rare that you see people that are truely in love. I dont believe in young true love though, I think that when you are in high school, there really isnt true love between kids, they may think that it is true love, but most the time nothing goes right and everything gets ruiend adn ends up in fights.
My deffinition of true love is: When someone has never ending love for another and would do any thing in their power to keep that person safe, happy, and would want to be around them all the time. With true love, you should be happy to be together.

If you had one superpower, what would it be and why? (Hint: describe exactly what your power would be, why you would want that one, what you would use your power for, etc. Would you be good or evil? Would you use it just for fun or for a good cause?)
If I could have any super power that I wanted, I would want to be able to change into any thing, person, object, ect. If I could change into anything that I want then I could do anything!
What Iwould do with my super powers is, I would first: become a bird and fly around, Ireally want to know what it looks like from a birds point of view. While I am a bird I will fly over the ocean (that has always been my dream.)
After flying over the ocean, I would trans-form into a dolphin and swim with a bunch of surfers, and if someone happend to drown, I would rescue them and then be a hero dolphin.
Last of my three top transformation wishes, I would turn my self into $1,000,000,000, put all of " me" into my bank account, transform back into me and be a millionair! with my million dollars (since it couldnt ever end) I would help the poor, the people in Africa, and anywhere else in the world that needs help. With the rest of my money I would go shopping, buy a huge house with a humongus closet and have a whole tone of shoes, shirts, jeans, jewlery and anything else that I might want. And after that, I would give my friends the coolest birthday presents in the world!

9th Grade: What comes to your mind when you hear the words, "Now we're going to read Shakespeare!" Do you cringe in fear? Do you giggle with glee? What past experiences have you had with Shakespeare to make you react the way you do?

I've never read Shakespeare so I dont really know what to expect. I have heard from people that have read Shakespear books, they say that it is hard to understand. When I hear that we will be reading Shakespear, I would have a negitive reaction to it, it seems too long and tough to read. I will most likely not understand halph the book. Ive never read a Shakesper book because I might not understand it and I dont want to waste my time on something that I might not understand.

The only Shakespear book that I have heard of is 'Romeo and Julliet.' it sounds like too much of a romance for me to want to read.
